Jody Brown Architecture, pllc
Located in Durham, North Carolina, we specialize in full service residential design for new homes, additions, renovations, and historic preservation. We work closely with homeowners on projects ranging from large additions to simple bathroom remodels. As well, we specialize in historic preservation, green building, and eco-friendly interiors, and have LEED Accredited members and trained preservationists on staff. We are very passionate about what we do and pride ourselves on providing thoughtful design, exceptional service and quality construction to our clients.
Jody Brown, AIA LEED AP received his architectural degree from the University of Tennessee in 1992 and has spent the last 24 years working on a variety of different projects ranging from small house additions to high-rise mixed-use developments. Jody has a strong background in historic preservation, urban design, and sustainable design, as well as an extensive portfolio of multi-family and single-family residential design. Jody founded Jody Brown Architecture, pllc. in 2009. Jody prides himself on his ability to successfully communicate with his clients using clear ideas, easy to understand graphics, straight-forward language, and a sense of humor.
Mark Barron, MArch (IIT), BA Industrial Technology (Appalachian State) has had a wide breadth of experience in remodeling, architectural design, furniture design/build, energy analysis, and project management for building performance improvements. To maximize his contribution to sustainability in design and construction, Mark took (and passed) all necessary exams to become a licensed architect. Mark wears several hats including Designer, Project Manager, and Site Supervisor.
